QUALIFIED, Customer Service Oriented, Bilingual Medical Front Office Specialist wanted for busy Multi Provider Pediatric Practice. We are looking for an individual with a professional demeanor, understanding attitude and team player spirit. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. This position is responsible for performing front office functions including telephone activities, patient appointment scheduling, patient registration, computer data entry, collection of payments, and maintaining patient records systems in a manner which promotes quality patient service. MOST IMPORTANTLY, providing excellent customer service to our patients.
These responsibilities include specifically following the direction and processes of the Front Desk Supervisor as set forth and indicated, but not limited to:
• Greet clinic patients and visitors as appropriate, which include checking-in all patients by entering patient data into computer system. Ensure accuracy of all data including address and insurance verification. Collect patient fees and provide appropriate receipts.
• Ensure patient needs and requests are handled efficiently.
• Schedule patient initial and follow up appointments ensuring efficient use of provider time and the appropriate care for patients according to CMC procedures including accessing and updating patient information.
• Maintain schedule accuracy for maximum patient flow by checking schedule a minimum of five clinic working days ahead, confirming provider date and times are correct, identifying and correcting inaccuracies or mistakes to schedule and ensuring that unique events and provider administrative time are accurately reflected on the clinic schedule.
• Follow established procedures for answering and screening incoming appointment-related telephone calls and directing calls to appropriate staff, taking/sending messages.
• Maintain effective communication with back office staff and providers as needed to appropriately “work in” additional patient visits on providers’ schedules.
• Distribute appropriate forms and provide instructions to patients according to CMC procedures
• Manage patient charts in a timely fashion according to CMC procedures including attaching appropriate paperwork to patient charts and processing same day insurance verification and medical records for appointments.
• Maintain reception work area and waiting room.
• Follow established procedures for opening and closing the clinic each day including balancing cash.
• Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings, participate in agency committees and task force activities.
• Demonstrates respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team oriented work environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of CMC and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of justice, respect, compassion, excellence and stewardship into appropriate programs and services.
Schedule will be full time with a rotating shift of Days and Evenings. Weekends are required. Hourly pay based off of skills and experience. Benefits available after 90 Days along with a paid half day off each week! Get paid for 40 hours each week, but work only 36 hours!!!
